Growing up training and watching Bruce Lee movies gave me the ultimate source of imagination and creativity from making nunchaku’s out of cut broom sticks using chain or rope in the 80’s. Til this day I not only watch his movies but many old movies to remind me that people, before there was special effects, took the time to do what they did and earn their way to where they’re at. Nowadays it seems that people try and figure out the quickest way to fame without paying their dues.. Like Premier said, “If you ain’t carry a crate of records to your gig, you shouldn’t be allowed to use Serrato”. I think that statement is so true in many ways.
Taken from the classic Vaughn Bode comic “Cheech Wizard”

Last week I went to a good friends gallery opening in SF. I think it deserves a front page link cause of the work he’s done to help his clients, who are primarily humanitarian aid and development organizations, foundations and magazine publications, interested in documenting the life stories and changing times of underserved communities around the world. Visit Peter Lemieux, read the stories and let it sink in, and if you’re in SF, please visit his latest installation which is called, “An Exhibition on Global Poverty”.
