In less than 4 hours the opening party of all openings will start. You’ll have to be one of the lucky few who were invited but Nike Sportswear has gone all out to open up their very first flagship door by taking up the entire block and setting up what looks to be a mini-stadium.
For those that can’t make it, check out the live webcast happening on 3 channels.

For 752k of “extra cash”, would you buy a baseball (Barry Bonds 756 homerun ball) and give people a voice to see if there should be an asterik on the ball before it goes to the hall of fame? Well, mainstream streetwear brand, Marc Ecko, did just that. Is Ecko that hard up for some airtime? He already has a mag, clothing line, etc.. Maybe sales are falling? Who knows?? What we do know is.. 752,000 dollars can help bring water to dying families worldwide. Whatever, it’s his cash and we’re prob the only “street wear” blog that blogged this since Ecko doesn’t make blog headlines these days.

Last weekend fulfilled many Jordanhead’s appetites with the long awaited arrival of the Air Jordan 8 Aqua’s. Unlike before, Jordan Brand is taking a new approach to release dates spacing out Lifestyle and General Releases so that no one has to plunk down nearly $300 just to stay up with the game.
This week is the release of an interesting color up of the Jordan 8. While Navy and Orange together create a nice and simple colorway, the addition of “pea pod†ruins the party for many. The shoes do feature a soft nubuck upper, contrast stitching, as well as orange piping edging the leather; a handful of little details many sneaker enthusiasts appreciate.
Thankfully, since the shoes are a Lifestyle release, Jordan Brand has put together some of its better clothes to hook up with the kicks than normal. Matching hoodies, T’s, and accessories will make that pea pod color look more intentional. Oh yeah, they release tomorrow. Try your luck on Eastbay or Foot Locker so you can sleep in.
