N.E.R.D. x Honda CR-Z @ Times Square

Honda held the first-ever takeover of Times Square in 3-D technology to support the launch of the all-new CR-Z sport hybrid coupe on Thursday, September 23. Spanning five blocks of Times Square, the event marks the first time 3-D footage was broadcasted to the public space. As a part of the takeover, Honda ran a 3-D CR-Z commercial footage on the Times Square HD Spectacolor screen (located on Broadway between 42nd and 43rd Street) and Sony provided a 3-D Gran Turismo 5 racing simulators. Additionally, Maxim Magazine models were distributing copies of their special 3-D October issue and Honda sponsored a special performance from chart-topping hip-hop trio, N.E.R.D.

The 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupe went on sale August 24th with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $19,200, plus a destination and handling charge of $750.

I’m not impressed with the CRX “replacement”. I’d go for N.E.R.D. though!
