Winter Blues N BMX’s

2

I hope everybody is enjoying their off season. Mine has been slow. Without having any events to get ready for, testing to do, or outdoor activities, the winter blues have really set in. I have been trying to find ways to keep busy. I made a youtube channel that I have been updating with some personal videos and some more popular ones. I will be updating it with a lot more content as soon as the snow melts and the season kicks off. Check it out here  www.youtube.com/user/RyanTuerck. I have been riding my bike a lot more often. I grew up mainly riding trails and there isn’t much of that around anymore, unless I travel to certain, locations so I’ve been riding a lot of indoor parks lately. Still managing to have a ton of fun. Here’s a few pics.

This is Scotty Cranmers park called the Incline club in Lakewood, NJ. He has a really cool box setup. Two big tables into a 20ft quarter wall into a big step up and back to an even bigger box jump. If you know how hit these things they boost you so high in the air.

The next day I went to Philly to meet up with Andy Laputka, The man behind all the Drift Alliance Videos. He took me down to FDR to do some riding. FDR is mainly a skateboard park, so to ride bikes there you need to go when it isn’t busy or have a voucher. Luckily Andy is a local so I didn’t have any problems. Riding outside is sooo cold these days. Takes a bit to loosen up.

Few pics.

I’m not much for tricks. I just love hitting jumps, flowing around, and having good style when I ride.

I grew up riding bikes with a lot of friends and some of them have made it pro. My buddy Brian Hunt now rides for DK bicycles amongst other sponsors. My buddy Clint Reynolds just got a huge part in the new “Anthem II” Video.  Eric Hennessey rides for FBM bikes. I grew up racing Motocross with Eric. He has an awesome Blog that he updates daily. Check it out. TrailsRule.com.  It’s really cool to see old friends doing what they love.

This video is inspiring. Makes me want to pack a bag and hit the road with friends.

New Gear:

A few weeks back I headed down to the NOOKA office to grab some gear. They have some awesome products and do some really cool collaborations with a lot of different people.

They are always coming out with new stuff, so check them out.

That video got me listening to some old Modest Mouse- Dramamine. I forgot how old this song is. Still love it.
