Back in the 90s

Hip-hop heads take a walk with me down memory lane.
During the 90s, the Golden Age of hip-hop, a group by the alias “A Tribe Called Quest,” dropped their first album entitled “People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.” The group went on to release four more albums within the decade, revolutionizing hip-hop and helped paved the way for artists today.

Actor/Comedian Michael Rapaport is releasing, a documentary, “Beats, Rhyme, and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest.” Rapaport directed the film, and you may recognize him, for he is no stranger in Hollywood. He has starred in the film “Hitch,” and made many cameo appearances in TV shows, including “Chappelle’s Show.”

Although there is some controversy between Rapport and Q-Tip, the film is set to debut in New York and Los Angeles on July 8th, 2011. According to the trailer, it aims to showcase the group’s illustrious career, as well as touch on issues that led to the group’s fallout.

Given the state of music today, what reasons would you have for A Tribe Called Quest reuniting?
