UPCOMING EVENTS

Wuste 2012

It’s Friday afternoon and I have 3 more hours before I’m off work. Nothing really to look forward to this weekend other than relaxing, so I wasn’t in any hurry. Then Mark asks me, “Hey, wanna bring the RWB to a car show in Vegas?” I tell him sure and he says “Good, get ready. You’re leaving now.” Oh…

So we pack the RWB onto the truck (not an easy task), pick up my stuff and one of our employees Brian, then shoot straight through the night for Vegas. I expected to see a lot of Euros this weekend, but this one!

Turns out the owner was headed to another event called the Mojave Mile, a standing mile competition much like the Texas Mile.

I’ve been fortunate to have seen my fair share of exotics, but never with the scruffs and chips this one had. The owner made sure that this was driven everywhere and driven hard, not left sitting to gather dust in some garage. Respect!

We split ways and continued our way to Vegas, greeted by the sun and heat that it brought along.

After unloading the car at the event, we had some time for the Saturday cruise so we decided to join in with the RWB.

It’s hard to imagine this place anything other than the 100 degree oven that it was that day.

While climbing up the elevation change, there were a fair number of times when we had to slow down and let some of the cars pull over to cool down.

You just can’t go wrong with a Corrado.

We pulled over at about halfway through the loop to take a break and check out some of the other rides in the group. Unfortunately, due to time restraints, we had to start heading back to the hotel instead of completing the cruise.

Later that night was the first time we were able to go out and check out the show itself. We could tell things were already starting to die down by then, but there was still a fair share of eye candy to see.

Internet stardom right here. Personally, I miss the older BBS’s.

Perfect pairing.

The next day we loaded up the truck and started heading back. 3 days, 1 night of sleep, and over 1,000 miles. Gotta do it again!
