Style Writing from the Underground

Aloha Nui everyone!  East3 checking in and dropping my first post!  I am a Style Writer from Honolulu, Hawaii and I have a passion for the Hip Hop Arts, Music and Dance which has lead me to learn about the history and the pioneers who truly laid it down.

The book featured in this post ‘Style Writing from the Underground’ is the most accurate documentation of the art forms history and pioneers.  This book was published in 1996 by Stampa Alternativa Italy in association with IGTimes NYC and co-created by the legendary PHASE2.  What make this book so special (compared to the countless other book out there) is that this book reflects on the History of Writing dating back to the late 1960′s and documents the timeline of the evolution of style.  For those that don’t know, PHASE2 is the father of many styles and approaches to the art form which he created in the early  to mid 70′s which is the origin point for almost all styles seen even til today.  Phase2 was the inventor of connecting letters, arrows, clouds, heart letters, super burners, see through letters and more.  This book is definitely a rare and costly find however to the ‘culturalist’ with a passion for knowledge and truth this book is a must have in your collection.
