BRISK ICED TEA PARTNERS WITH LA-BASED LATINO ARTISTS TO CELEBRATE El DIA DE LOS MUERTOS WITH BOLD PUBLIC GALLERY

Lipton Brisk Iced Tea partners with LA-based Latino artists to celebrate El Di De Los Muertos with Bold Public Gallery. Starting November 2 and running until November 16, the art gallery will be open to the public.

I was able to ask artist James Haunt a couple questions about his participation in the gallery.

What does Día de los Muertos mean to you?

Remember and celebrating the lives of our loved ones who have passed and also how they have influenced our lives. This is what Dia de Los Muertos means to me.

What inspired you to create your piece?

My piece is inspired by my cat and her 9th life. She had a white coat with different colored eyes and her name was Fantasma. Just over a year ago she was killed by pit bulls. Her beauty was short lived so this is my tribute to her on the Day of the Dead.

How does Brisk fit in to this celebration?

I am hyped to see a company such as Brisk is showing major interest and support to Art and Music. I’m stoked to be a part of this show.

More information on the art gallery below.

WHAT: The bold iced tea brand is always inspired by creativity, so to celebrate the holiday tradition of Dia de los Muertos, Brisk has commissioned local artists to create pieces for a community alter and murals honoring influential people in their lives who have recently passed.

Visitors will be invited to place photos or memorabilia of their loved ones who have passed on a traditional community alter. The alter will be properly blessed by Dr. Sandoval, professor of Chicano studies at CSU Northridge.
