E-Type Run

An early morning run with the Jag club is always going to be a great outing, but when it’s with the E-Type owners and a few of their friends… just perfect.

The obligatory early morning start kept us ahead of the Sunday drivers, but in a convertible in the middle of winter at dawn, it was pretty fresh.

With three meet points to collect all of the drivers, there was plenty of time to check out the cars in attendance.

There were some stunning E-Types in attendance, this was one of my favorites, with the deep red finish and wire wheels.

The presentation of the cars was superb, just take a look at the reflection off this Jag.

Another very clean example and love that chrome.

At the third meet point we met the rest of the drivers, to my delight this Vantage turned up to join us.

With all the drivers now together, we headed north through the hinterland.

We stayed ahead of the pack to grab a few shots.

With some spectacular scenery and twisting roads through the hills, the run from Brisbane to Maleny is a weekend favorite.

A quick stop for breakfast allowed an opportunity to chat to the drivers and get a good look at some of the beautiful cars in attendance.

The fireplace was a welcome touch to defrost after two hours in a convertible in the middle of winter!

Back to the cars!

This Porsche has been a 10 year build, I can’t describe the level of care that has been taken to restore it to its former glory.

A modern classic…

The run ended at the Maleny bowls club for some good old fashioned country hospitality.

Can’t wait for the next run!
