Nike Sportswear LIVESTRONG Collection Presents the Air Zoom Tiempo Austin, Texas edition.

Nike’s design team worked with Lance Armstrong to create a Zoom Tiempo inspired by Lance’s hometown, Austin Texas. The Air Zoom Tiempo draws inspiration directly from the cyclists of Austin and one of the city’s most iconic cycling stores in the world,

Mellow Johnny’s. The shoe also draws inspiration from the art bikes created to help raise funds and awareness for the Lance Armstrong Foundation this summer. Finally, it takes the iconic LIVESTRONG yellow and integrates it throughout the design of the shoe.

Highlighted features include:

* Juxtaposing soft premium oiled leather with aggressive anti-abrasive materials and black contrast stitching. The design is inspired by the two sides of Lance: The world’s greatest road cyclist and a man deeply connected with the culture of his sport.

* “Texas” and “Austin” are boldly placed on the shoe heels. The stitches crossed on the words give an unfinished and rough touch.

* Contrasting yellow and black sockliners build on the LIVESTRONG and Mellow Johnny’s bike shop theme.

* The crafted Stark laces with black aglets (tips) complement the refined, but aggressive, design.

The Livestrong x Nike Air Zoom Austin Tiempo is available on October 24th, 2009 exclusively at Mellow Johnny’s and Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer. It will be released more broadly in November along with the other three Tiempos collaborated with cyclists from Paris, Berlin and San Francisco. YES we are getting the Manny Pacquiao Nike Lights Out Trainers. When you ask? No idea is the answer. The release date is scheduled for 9.25 but we’re unsure as we haven’t received the shoes yet. If they do come in on 9.25, we’ll release them on 9.26 along with a re-up of the Fatlace “Lights Out” Glow Tee which sold out earlier this week.

In the meantime for all of you guys waiting.. here’s something to hold you over.

Nike and the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter, Manny Pacquiao, are back at it with the “Lights Out” Nike Air Trainer 1. The Lights Out Nike Air Trainer 1 x Manny Pacquiao features a Black upper with lasered detailing and Glow in the Dark accents. The upper sits on a Glow in the Dark outsole as well. Manny’s “MP” logo is embroidered on the tongue tab and the outsole features the date and stoppage time from Pacquiao’s stunning defeat over Ricky Hatton.

The Lights Out Nike Air Trainer 1 x Manny Pacquiao is set to release in the next few weeks and will only be available at select shops in the USA and Philippines.

Also, In preparation and in conjunction with the release of the uber limited Manny Pacquiao Nike Trainer 1 “LIGHTS OUT”, we’ve come up with our own “LIGHTS OUT” glow in the dark tee that matches the trainers perfectly. Get one here before it sells out.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing more of these shoes in the near future. Great alternative to Vans.
