This table by Lorraine Brennan, a traditional paper plane scaled coffee table size is my current favourite. (I’m such a sucker for modern furniture!)
Maybe they can’t all be California tables, but that doesn’t mean you have to settle for something plain. Although the Paper Plane Coffee Table by Lorraine Brennan may be a plane, but it’s anything but plain. For something that looks like a giant paper airplane, this contemporary coffee table feels surprisingly grown up. Sharp geometric shapes and a smooth white surface put it on par with any other sophisticated piece of furniture not modeled after something that gets thrown out of school bus windows by 10-year-olds. The table is made out of 2mm folded powder coated steel—not really a big sheet of card stock, in case you were wondering.
