One of my favorite events of the year is Formula Drift at Irwindale. This year, the tickets sold out before the gates even opened. It was probably because everyone knew that the Slammed Society Showcase was going to be awesome. Just kidding, usually it’s because the competition is extremely intense. The drivers go all-or-nothing in this last run for the championship and by the end of the day, there’s usually a huge amount of trashed cars.

Check out the long line of cars rolling into the Slammed Society showcase.

Lonely low E36.

Couldn’t help but take a photo of my IS250. I just finished putting the car together an hour before the show.

Sick bagged Vertex S14 on Work Schwerts.

Vince getting his Instaphotography of the Royal Origin line-up. Remember to follow us on Instagram @fatlace_hellaflush!

Royal Origin with the Sierra Instagram filter.

Nimo decided to slam his IS300 for the show instead of using his normal track oriented look. Looks pretty damn good.

First car I spotted in the show was Matt’s S13 Vert.

Sitting pretty on Work Bersaglio wheels.

Slammed with no fenders for infinite fitment.

The 1013MM crew. John’s 135i ended up winning Best Euro.

Clean fitment and even cleaner rims on this S2000.

Always a pleasure to see this S13.

Kirk’s super low STI. Surprised his wheels didn’t de-bead on the way here.

A showcase of Miata’s from Project G was pretty awesome.

This 300z was the talk of the show. So nicely done, it was the winner of Best Import.

Low N Slow’s IS300, Vertex fitted on JIC wheels.

Mark’s sexy M5 on Leon Hardiritt Ordens.

Wide Sc300 from Royal Flush.

Never thought an Altima could look this cool. Props to the owner for doing something different.

Fatlace GTR, wish it was drifting in the competition.

The coolest booth set-up in the vendor village, I would say, was the Speed Hunters booth. It had cool cars from every aspect of the car scene.

Jon Sibal’s Challenger was one of the cool cars at the booth.

Speed Hunters also had this old school Cressida on the side.

Not so far away was Ken Block’s famous Ford Fiesta.

You guys all know this car, the Hoonigan RWB.

It grabbed a lot of attention from spectators. This car was constantly crowded whenever I would pass by.

I love this E92 on Volk TE37 SL’s so much!

Dai Yoshihara’s Rocket Bunny S13, getting ready for some track time.

We spotted Abbit from AW Films just looking pretty.

Love the green finish of the HRE wheels on the Monster Energy’s Ford Mustang.

Fierce competition between all drivers. All the chases were pretty epic.

The crowds gathering to watch how this S14 is getting up the tow truck.

My favorite car in Formula Drift is this wide body Vertex SC300.

Pristine Mazda 3 on Work Emitz.

The Slammed Winner of the show was this FD from Tailored.

Winner of the Best Drift award. An MR-S!

Winner of Best VIP. TSX on CCW classics.

Classic winner, a very well kept FB.

Thanks to everyone who came to the show! It was fun seeing everyone and meeting new people. Be sure to check the site daily for more coverage.
