For something different yesterday, I checked out the Garterbelts & Gasoline Rockabilly Rod and Kustom Show at Mt Tambourine.

Being a rod & kustom show, I have to be honest, I am not the all knowing when it comes to makes and models of many of the cars in attendance. You’ll have to forgive my lack of technical knowledge in this area. However one I things that I most appreciate about this style of modifying is the craftsmanship and the attention to detail.

The event was held over four days, with non-stop live music, displays and even a soap-box derby. Even with a massive crowd in attendance, the event still had a really laid back feel with owners only to happy to share their war stories of their build. But that’s enough from me, it’s all about the cars anyway…

Interesting way to house the controls for your airbags.

The best sticker of the day by far. The owner told me ‘the cops love it mate.’
