Rusty Box

I love it when people get creative with their modding. I know rusting panels, hoods, trunks, etc has been around for awhile but honestly, this is the first time ive seen it on a xB. I personally think it looks great. Thanks for reppin Fatlace/HellaFlush.

honestly I am not feeling the rusty trend..it does nothing for me, except for on rat rods.
but it does look like this xB has a nice stance.
I personally think the rusty BMW holds the rust crown, but this shit is dope as hell, when can we see more pics?
For some reason, I kinda like this…. The mix of a newer-style car with the old look of the rust. It just pulls it off a lot more than other “rusted out” cars that I’ve seen. Still not something I’d be doing, but I can appreciate it as a bit more artsy than other sorts of modding.
In some cases it looks cool… in some others not so much. I would only do it on a panel that needed to be replaced, and I had a replacement to put on soon after. I have a pretty messed up front fender right now and I might mess around with it before I rip it off. It kinda cracks me up seeing really clean E46 bmw’s with rusted stock hoods that are in perfect shape. Definately no hate though… it still looks pretty cool.

Now to clear a few things up. The rusted hatch is photoshopped. A few months back, the car was in a minor fender/hatch bender and I haven’t been able to make myself pay the money to get it fixed. I photoshopped it to get an idea of what it would look like. So like Jhooks was saying…I’m not gonna rust a perfectly good body part/panel but since it looks like a ruffles chip at the moment, I may rust it during the winter season….we’ll see.

Yeah I agree wit Laces, that famous “Rusty-look” BMW is the only one and only. It’s such a unique syle to jock that only the originator could rock it. The xB is clean tho but we all know where the inspiration came from…
My barn has a rusty gate, too.
V-dubs and the rust look go great, on some. But I won love to see a side view of this rust box

Am I the only one that noticed this is a chop?
I was wondering when someone else would notice that. I am not a fan of rusted out prestine panels at all. Also most of the dudes who rust out their cars don’t live in a climate where rust is a SERIOUS issue and kills great rides
