Arnette and Del the Funky Homosapien Join Forces
On Two New Limited Edition Fire Drill Shades

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA: Arnette is excited to announce their collaboration with the Funkman himself, Del the Funky Homosapien, on two signature colorways of the Fire Drill, available exclusively at Sunglass Hut. Del’s frame of choice, the Fire Drill is Arnette’s funk-infused, modern classic, making it the ideal canvas to reflect Del’s unique and eclectic sense of style.

The Del edition of the Fire Drill features a matte black frame that dissolves out into purple on the lower rims and temples. Del’s signature logo is featured on one temple tip and the iconic Hieroglyphics logo gets placement on the other. It’s available with either blue mirror or polarized gray faded lenses.

“Arnette has always held me down so I’m juiced to get the opportunity to funk with them. These limited edition Fire Drills they are doing for me are raw and if you are down with the funk then you are going to dig these,” commented Del.

They drop exclusively at select Sunglass Hut locations in the US and Canada, and on sunglasshut.com on October 20th.

A new track Del created exclusively for Arnette is available online for free, go to www.facebook.com/arnette for info.

“Del is hands-down one of the most innovative and influential artists of our generation. As a long-time member of the Arnette family, it just makes sense that we fuse with his sense of style to create a sunglass. We are all huge Del fans at Arnette, and we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to collaborate with such a legend,” commented Arnette’s Global Brand Director, Joe Freitag.

To celebrate the release of the new Del Fire Drill sunglasses, Arnette and Sunglass Hut will be hosting an in-store meet-and-greet with Del at their Union Square, SF, location on October 27, from 6-7:30 pm, followed by a launch party at Public Works at 9 pm. Del will be headlining, along with The Souls of Mischief, Casual and Bukue One.

The blue mirrored lens version of the Del Fire Drill retails for $79 and the polarized gray faded lens model is $99.
