Valentine’s Day.  My favorite holiday of the year.  More than Thanksgiving, more than Halloween, more than Christmas.  Why? Because I’m a sucka for love.  The romance, the flowers, the well thought out card (ha!). The one day of the year that some might say is completely overrated, yet, I happily soak it all up.  And even more happily, give.

Men, if you’re out of ideas on a beautiful gift for someone special in your life, I suggest a love letter.  Simple, sweet, romantic and forever treasured.

Here is a short excerpt of a love letter written by Ludwig van Beethoven addressed to his ‘Immortal Beloved’, whose identity has not been established.

You - my Life - my All - farewell.
Oh, go on loving me – never doubt the faithfullest heart.
Of your beloved
L
Ever thine.
Ever mine.
Ever ours.

Damn.  He had me at hello.

Love.

Till the next episode…
