#LexusInstafilm

A couple weeks ago I was asked to participate in a project with Lexus at Angel Stadium in Anaheim to showcase the new 2014 Lexus IS. The #LexusInstafilm project was the first collaboratively created stop-motion film using Instagram photos.

Over 200 Instagrammers contributed at least one photo that was then digitally sequenced together to create the film. Each participant shot their own photo, edited it and used filters to their liking and uploaded to Instagram with specific hashtags to allow Lexus to sequence it. The project used 3D mapping technology as well to pinpoint where and at what angle each mobile photographer needed to be positioned to capture the right shot.

Below are the results of the project.
