Today, I had the pleasure of not only taking a break from work, but also getting the opportunity to have a “guided” tour around Levi’s PHOTO Workshop housed at the Deitch Gallery at 18 Wooster (thanks again Kelsey!).

Going far beyond print and digital advertising, Levi’s decided to step up their game and reach out to their market with a more tangible concept. Allowing visitors access to an array of Leica cameras (for a cash deposit) to use for a day, to free access to printers, computers, a huge photo studio and really, just an amazing space to cater to all your photography needs. I’m really digging this idea and their set-up, as always, I appreciate great marketing and branding, especially brands like Levi’s.

The workshop will be in use and on display until December 18th, so all you passerby’s with a passion for photography should definitely stop by and check out their upcoming events and use their “for rent” products! Currently, New Work New York is on display, curated by Tim Barbers showing the work of more than 40 NY photographers.
