Local beer at Beaver Street Brewery

Cruising nature with PJ

Headed home through Sedona, if you haven’t been, GO!

So wife and I decided to partake in whats called “The Trinity of High Elevation Arizona Wines”
It consists of Page Cellars Cellars owned by Eric Glomski, Caduceus owned by Maynard James Keenan and together they own AZ Stronghold… So we hit all three, follow us…

These fellas Eric & Maynard have a film called BLOOD INTO WINE you have to check out… CLICK THE LINK FOR A MOVIE TRAILER
Who knew wine could be so rebellious, making wine THEIR way on THEIR terms…

Here’s the synopsis of the film…
“Maynard James Keenan is known as the front man for Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. In the mid-1990’s the reclusive rock star left Los Angeles and moved to an Arizona ghost town (population 300). A wine enthusiast, Keenan soon began to envision a world class wine region on the Verde Valley’s craggy slopes. With the guidance of wine mentor Eric Glomski (former David Bruce winemaker and current owner of the award-winning Page Springs Cellars), Keenan began the long road to bringing credibility and notoriety to Caduceus and Arizona Stronghold Vineyards amidst wine industry prejudice and the harsh Arizona terrain.
Take a look inside the life of one of rock music’s most mysterious figures.”

1st stop, Page Springs Cellars…Cornville, AZ

Nice tasting room…

Even nicer ground and vineyard…

Picked up a bottle…

The basis of wine, good grapes…

2nd stop: AZ Stronghold in Cottonwood, AZ…
Main St. in Cottonwood, AZ…

Took part in a flight of wines…

Like the sign…

Nice large art piece defaced by the 2 fellas showing their disdain for the freeway they transport grapes on…

We ended up enjoying and buying a bottle from Burning Tree Cellars called The Lotus, The guy behind Burning Tree Cellars works at AZ Stronghold and they offered him to make his own wine while working so this is his first grape stomp, solid wine!

3rd and Last stop Caduceus Cellars in Jerome, AZ

Really nice build out and design…

PJ and Snake Eyes liked it…

Here’s the 3 bottles that we purchased, at the 3 stops..

And the back of the Caduceus 2007 Nagual De La Naga bottle we purchased…

Interesting stories all over this town…
