Nike+ Sport Music/Serato White Label Delivery Network
Collaborate on First Control Vinyl Picture Disc feat. DJ A-Trak

January 13, 2009 – Nike+ Sport Music and Serato White Label Delivery Network are proud to announce the first official 12” control vinyl picture-disc that celebrates DJ A-Trak’s debut album Running Man: Nike+ Original Run.

Adding another layer of “I gotta’ have this!” to the mix, custom artwork from the Brooklyn-based artist Dust La Rock graces the disc. The design features Dust La Rock’s newly-iconic “Mr. A” figure, lifted from the cover of the A-Trak Original Run album.

As A-Trak explains, “It’s the first official Serato picture disk on their Whitelabel.net label. I used to test out their beta version way before it was available commercially – so now it all came full circle.”

Only 1,000 promo pieces of the limited-edition control vinyl picture discs were manufactured. The majority of these will be shipped worldwide to Serato and Whitelabel.net DJs, while a holdback of 50 discs will be exclusively avail through select online partners.

The collaboration also features downloads from the Running Man: Nike+ Original Run album available at www.whitelabel.net, including the single “Say Whoa” and the exclusive single “My Time” w/ Kid Cudi.

Running Man: Nike+ Original Run is available exclusively in the Nike Sport Music section of the iTunes Store for $9.99. Purchase it here -

Thought I was in a for a regular day at the office when I got a call from the bredren DJ Shortkut (ISP, Beat Junkies, Triple Threat DJ’s). He was in town for the Word of Mouth Tour, 2000 and asked if we could hang for the day. Took the day off and had a great Hip Hop Day. Linked up with DJ’s Shortkut, Rhettmatic and Babu for some lunch. Went record shopping and did a Hip Hop Workshop at the EMP with Jurassic 5, Dialated Peoples, Supanatural and DJ’s Shortkut, Rhettmatic, Babu, Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist. The workshop included a DJ seminar by Rhett, Babu and Shortkut that was historical and educational for anyone that is familiar or unfamiliar with the art of The DJ. Got exclusive footage of this event at my webiste check them out on youtube. Finished the night off at the Showbox, downtown Seattle for a dope Hip Hop Show featuring all of these musical artists. http://www.taichiturntablism.com

  • anthony hart says:

Not necessarily an epic dj story filled with celebrity mixmasters, but one time a girl said to me “can you play something good? Some music i know? Like some 90’s swedish pop music?” Every dj is used to stupid requests, but for some reason i remember that to this day. Every time someone asks me to play something, i think of that and laugh.
