No matter how hard you avoid those tourist spots in your city… sometimes it’s good to just let the city take you.

I’ve been on bum status for about 3 weeks now, no longer at my 9-5 grind… just taking the time to enjoy and just breathe for a bit. But it’s hard to rest easy knowing that steady check is not going to come every other friday.  You have to speed walk and jog before you start sprinting again. In my case I’m walking like George Jefferson. So if you got projects out there, let me know I’m on the freelance grind now.

It’s starting to rain again… it’s safe to say summer is officially over, in my depression I uploaded my summer pictures to reminisce on our record breaking heat wave. It was actually 91 degrees at midnight, which actually drove me and the wife to catch a 10:3opm showing of Bruno.(which I don’t recommend, unless you like penis helicopter in your face) I’m ok with the overcast and rain for now because, come tomorrow morning we’ll be in sunny LA.

I’ve never been able to get a picture of my dog smiling, but here it is… proof that Solomon Grande smiles.

Just got back from Hawaii, got the island fever and scheming on a way to move there. I noticed they got foot masseurs and portrait illustrators on kalakaua ave… maybe I can do portraits of people’s feet. I got mistaken for Kama’aina a lot, but no discounts with a WA ID. haha can’t front. so I’m making it a point to move there for the winter and Seattle for the summer. You can’t beat the summer in Seattle. The main reason we went for a visit was to see my broham  Jaryo, his wife Trigger and their brand new boys… Samson and Lino. Twins are no joke. I was beat after staying with them 1 full day. All you parents out there I have total respect, you guys are champions. 

Waikiki is a trip, my first night in all I saw was cops sailors and hookers. Is it legal out there? The beach in Waiminalo is where we spent most of our time. It’s nice out there, beach in front and mountain range in the back. I was able to hit up the KicksHI and Aloha Army but missed In4mation by 2 seconds on my lastnight… right when I was walking up they locked the doors. I’ll be back when the tickets are cheap again.

I was hoping to hit up some walls with Lofa and Newkon… but I was busy being lazy at the beach… and AaronWoes you should have stayed at least 2 more days… you owe me a pot of adobo.

Happy Bornday fellas.

This past memorial day weekend we took a road trip down to PDX porklang. Thanks Jarod, for the AceHotel tip, but it didn’t look like a baby friendly spot. We stayed at the Avalon Spa Hotel. The mission for the wives on this trip was to shop till the husbands got mad. too bad they failed, I was the only winner for the weekend.  I spent a good hour at BestBuy pacing between the TVs and Cameras… 42′ flat screen or a camera?! i settled for the G10. Price matched and NO TAX!! I went down the line of stores I bet the sales clerk was annoyed. “Aye check Fry’s for me, how bout’ Target? how bout’ Circuit City? Kit’s Camera? Oh this is BestBuy huh?” and BAAAM Costco for $449. I am the winner… but you know what that means? My old lady is going to be scheming  for an new Channel bag. I lose.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get my maple bar with strips of bacon on top from Voodoo donuts.
