weekend
May 18, 2009 – 11:48 pm | Comments Off | submitted by boohi
This weekend was beautiful in Seattle. Made it out to the 10year anniversary for Massive Monkees, the pride of Seattle. I was only able to endure a couple of the battles, since my knees were giving out. I was impressed with how many bgirls are out there. I was also surprised by how bboys come in all shapes and sizes… Don’t judge a book by a cover is true… I saw a husky boy and I was like this boy is going to poplock or something. Husky bwoy went down for some ground work and popped up 1990s with both hands. WOW
anyways… congrats to Massive and thanks for the hometown pride.

The sun was still out on sunday so we took the inaanak Makoa aka Voltes5 to the park and ran in some grass.

I got to publicly thank my old lady for these, how she found out I wanted these I have no idea… she must be up on my sites history,  checking if I’m looking at that bomba. I fully endorse these shoes, the leather is like butter. I’d spread it on some pandesal if I could.

PETER FUNCH PHOTOS
April 24, 2009 – 12:34 pm | 2 Comments | submitted by boohi

Who would think to put a composition of girls in summer dresses? Happy friday all…

more work here:  PETER FUNCH

To create a single image, Peter Funch stakes out an area of New York City for a few days and snaps people as they walk by. Then, he stitches together pieces and parts from each image to create a final composition that is thematically unique and almost unbelievable.

KINFOLK BICYCLES
April 22, 2009 – 12:59 pm | Comments Off | submitted by boohi

Spreading the word about my LF fam… Maceo’s bicycle company. KINFOLK

Welcome to Kinfolk. After a lot of work, a few flights to Japan and back, many ginger mint mojitos, weeks of jetlag, 43 freshness burgers, and 8 inches of beard, we’re happy to officially launch the Kinfolk Bicycle co. We are deeply honored and very grateful to work with Kusaka in bringing these frames to the world. For someone of his caliber to trust us with his handiwork is an honor.

Containing decades of frame building experience, and made to the exacting specifications of Keirin track racing, these bikes are functional and built to last. In addition, we wanted these bikes to be beautiful as well. From the brass headbadges designed by Marco Hernandez, paint by Coat and Colorworks, to the graphics by Way&Means, no expense was spared in making them look as good as possible.

We hope you see something you like. Each frame we sell is built to order and made by hand, so supplies are somewhat limited. To Purchase a Kinfolk frameset, contact us at info@kinfolkbicycles.com and we will start the order process. All orders require a deposit, and will be delivered in 4-6 weeks. Check the links below for pics, prices and options.

VER NOOIIIICE

sampled from SUPERTOUCH ART

Scott Campbell was born and raised in a fishing camp, perched alongside a muddy bayou in rural Louisiana. With a clever knack for drawing and a fondness of stories, he began his career by doing illustration and assistant editing. Curiosity soon led him to experiment with tattooing and his immediate mastery of the art was undeniable. After a subsequent 18-month stint in Spain honing his craft, he packed up his skills and his tattoo machines and traveled for the next 5 years taking inspiration from the art and folklore of tattoo cultures all over the world. In 2004, he opened Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Since then, it has grown to be the East Coast’s premier tattoo shop with a devout following of celebrity clientele.

Your business card is CRAP!
April 13, 2009 – 11:05 pm | Comments Off | submitted by boohi

“It doesn’t fit in a rolodex because it doesn’t belong in one.” I have a print production guy who is this enthusiastic about paper and all it’s possibilities. It’s a shame we don’t have BUDGET or 25 years to design. Do people still use business cards? I bought some 2 years ago and I think I only gave 5 out of a pack of 100… you can’t hide crap with rounded corners and uv spot varnish.
