Black widow. 510town.
Friday I spent a lot of time working on the 510 after work. Im tired of not being able to drive it so I am hoping to have it running this week. Replaced the brake line that I am pretty sure a goat chewed through, fabricated an e-brake bracket, and killed a bad ass black widow. I went to adjust the e-brake because it wasnt working, started pulling on the cable to see how much slack I needed to take out and before I knew it I was holding one end of the cable in my hand. Wondering WTF just happened I looked at the right side drum brake and the bracket was missing to connect the brack cable to the drum. Being a pretty simple bracket and not knowing where I would find a new one I just made a new bracket from scratch. Then I put on the new brake line and bled the brakes and clutch so now the car has working brakes, ebrake, and clutch. As I was working on the ebrake bracket I noticed something climbing down on the lift and sure enough it was a pretty decent sized black widow. I dont like spiders and it kinda freaked me out after that so I was a little sketch finishing up the car. But here are some pics. The carb is sitting next to me on the coffee table waiting on a rebuild kit, all the jets were clogged and it was in bad need of a rebuild. As soon as the kit is in it should be running!
