Went by Dai’s Driving School this Sunday to hang out. It was a great event! There was a huge turnout and there were a lot of friends there hanging out. I also had a little surprise from Bruce Kress when I showed up. He drove great and improved a lot! Learned a lot more about drifting and technique. Finally out of 2nd and into 3rd and entering about 20 mph faster then he was used too.

Pics of the surprise. <3

Friday I spent a lot of time working on the 510 after work. Im tired of not being able to drive it so I am hoping to have it running this week. Replaced the brake line that I am pretty sure a goat chewed through, fabricated an e-brake bracket, and killed a bad ass black widow. I went to adjust the e-brake because it wasnt working, started pulling on the cable to see how much slack I needed to take out and before I knew it I was holding one end of the cable in my hand. Wondering WTF just happened I looked at the right side drum brake and the bracket was missing to connect the brack cable to the drum. Being a pretty simple bracket and not knowing where I would find a new one I just made a new bracket from scratch. Then I put on the new brake line and bled the brakes and clutch so now the car has working brakes, ebrake, and clutch. As I was working on the ebrake bracket I noticed something climbing down on the lift and sure enough it was a pretty decent sized black widow. I dont like spiders and it kinda freaked me out after that so I was a little sketch finishing up the car. But here are some pics. The carb is sitting next to me on the coffee table waiting on a rebuild kit, all the jets were clogged and it was in bad need of a rebuild. As soon as the kit is in it should be running!

Went to a local gallery Saturday night down the street from work and it was pretty cool. The exhibit had free beer and sake for opening night which made it a big plus! The art was cool some different stuff and some really good stuff. There were artist there doing life sketches and paintings. I was pretty stoked on it and will probably go back for opening night of the next exhibit. The gallery is called Gallery Nucleus its on Main St. in Alhambra, CA. Here are some snaps I got before my battery died. Then we went for ramen afterwards. Beer and Ramen it was a good night!

Worked on this a little bit last week thought I would post it up. Quick fab work on the oil cooler brackets gave me a chance to practice my tig skills too so it was good. Came out pretty good, there is no room behind the bumper so fitment had to be perfect. With the wheels at full lock there is about an 1/8″ of clearance.

This was a busy weekend but I got a lot done. Started with picking up a uhaul trailer and getting the s13 from Orange County. Once I was back I cleaned out the garage the car is living in now and put the 510 in the trailer. Sunday morning was another early morning got up and took the 510 down to work so I can hopefully get the rest of it sorted out and driving this week. Then took the uhaul trailer back and headed to sd to pick up a magical box. Spent the day with Nate Naterson and it was amazing as always <3.

510 on the trailer and the race car in the alley
Trying to get the weight down to as light as possible to prep this car for time attack next season. Looking for sub 2600 lbs wet. Should be a fun and exciting build stay tuned for updates.
