I remember digging through my brother’s crates and examining the details of the artwork on The Jacksons’ “Destiny”, “Triumph” and “Victory” albums. I remember being so interested in the craftsmanship of the art, reminiscent of Earth, Wind & Fire covers that I had seen before in Mom and Pops’ collection. Throwing those pieces of vinyl on the turntable was a whole other explosive event in itself. Countless family gatherings and milestones through a lifetime are marked with the sound of young Michael and his brothers’ voices, which echo in my mind. I think folks around the world share the same type of feeling, which is why one of the greats will be missed. Thank you for blessing us. Rest in Power.
