Sushi Masu

Michelle and I frequently gather on her side of town to fulfill our mutual sushi addiction and tonight was just another one of those nights…
Me: So where are we going tonight?
Michelle: Um, Sushi Masu? I found it on Yelp; it should be pretty good.
Me: Sushi Masu?
Michelle: Yeah, the head sushi chef’s name is Masu.
Me: Wait, Masu?
Michelle: Yeah, that’s his name.
Me: That’s what all sushi head chef’s are called? Masu? I didn’t know that.
Michelle: Huh? NO. Like, my name’s Michelle. His is Masu.
HAHAHAHHAA. Okay, anyways, onto the snobbery.

Spicy Tuna Roll & Salmon Nigiri. Super fresh and super scrumptious.

Unagi and the daily special: a baked spicy tuna roll. It’s an elaborate rendition of the basic spicy tuna roll involving some fresh tomato, sticky rice and various other garnishes. Amazing.

We also ordered a stuffed shitake mushroom with ground shrimp and scallops. Personally, I think the mushroom was a little over fried - a steamed version might have been both a little healthier and flavorful. It was an interesting combination though; quite filling and quite delicious!

This girl, hahahahah. Thanks for everything love!
