The Circle of Life

It’s always mind boggling to me how things come full circle. Case in point: my increasingly growing fascination with art. Oddly enough, the first solo trip I ever made to LA was for a Parra show at HVW8 gallery. HAHAHA omg I was (still am) such a little baby!

A year and change later, I’d just moved down to the city of angels for college and found myself at the same little gallery for a Brent Rollins show. His multi-layered work (4′by8′-ish) was absolutely stunning and thus cemented my growing fascination with art.

After moving to Santa Monica, I began the pursuit of finding varying artwork to fill my home. Since those giant plywood/plexiglass/screenprint Rollins pieces are way too big for my current apartment (no high ceilings… boooo) I settled for some beautiful screen prints instead. This weekend, I swung by a now familiar space to pick up my first purchase. A little Twilight Zone-esque, but in the best way possible.

Huge thanks to Max and Tyler for being such wonderful gentlemen. I’m honored to be a part of the family :)
