Done been back in LA for a minute, but just got around to developing film from my final days in San Jose. Lots of great times with lots of great friends so sit back, relax& find your face!

In the weirdest funk of my life. All I really want are Netflix movies delivered endlessly, kettlecorn for days, and cigarette holders - the kind old fashioned ladies in white gloves would use to look sophisticated and elegant while slowly killing themselves with cancer. Hm.

Classical music and reading French has been keeping me sane. I need some new tunes though! Thank goodness for the Elan IIE and unlimited IN-texting. I think that without the duo, I’d be clinically insane. (85mmL usm f/1.2)

Final few days in Nor Cal, as captured by the Canon EOS Elan IIE. A day in the city with the best friend and Jeremy filled with living, loving and laughing. Oh so much laughing. What’s crazy is that Jeremy’s uncle owns Buchi-Tei, the famous Japanese restaurant next to Fatlace. Small world, eh?

I heart Fatlace.

The view from Cheesecake Factory on top of Macy’s is amazing, but the food is so mediocre and the service so weak. Independents all the way!

Thanks to my good friend Danny, I finally found a super dope film camera for super cheap. It’s with the greatest pleasure I present my first shots with my Canon EOS Elan IIE. There’s just something beautiful about loading film and feeling the camera whirring into action and having to wait 24exposures later to see what the picture looked like. Call me a sap, but I think my scrubby, hungover ass is in love, hahaha.

35mm f/1.4L USM. I’ve been fortunate enough to mess with some ballin’ lenses the last few days. Life will never quite be the same.

Hella Flush Approved

After finishing up my final physical therapy session this morning, I headed out to Burlingame for the official 2008 HELLAFLUSH Approval event. The weather was blazing hot, as were the cars, the music and the gear. Not too sure what I’m allowed to post just yet, but here’s a little sneaky peeky of my four favorite cars from the show.

Ronnie handled giveaways in the scorching heat, what a trooper. And Brad (Nemesis Project) on the left is handling the build-out of the ARC frame. So excited!!! Nice meeting you sir :)

Andy (Garage Inc.) has cars and jokes on lock. Dude is SO funny - he kept me laughing at the booth all day. And of course, the Fatlacers: Al, Mark and Brooklyn.

Mark with the Lumix, Ronnie with the cell phone camera… so typical? HAHAH And my guy fries, Andrew, Clifford, Richard and Steven. Thanks for rollin’ through kids!

Definitely good times with good peoples. Peep the other blogs for the entries that are sure to come. Huge thanks again to Mark and Ronnie for everything!

I actually have nothing to say except that The Dark Knight is the best movie you’ll see this summer. Maybe even all year. And that besides being a little long, the acting is absolutely phenomenal, the storyline easily comprehensible and overall, quite possibly the only action movie I’ve seen in years that I felt was really worth my time and money.
So maybe I did have something to say.
Oh well, JUST GO WATCH THE DAMN THING ALREADY! :)

My good friend Lesley recently made it back from a trip to Mexico so we celebrated her return (and belated birthday) with an intimate little BBQ at her spot in Millbrae. Welcome home my dear and thanks for a great weekend at my home away from home.

Katie made the trip up from LA/ San Fernando Valley to celebrate with us, and to make the best bean dip known to mankind. That’s what’s up!

Rolled through Japantown the following day for some good old Iroha. This joint never fails me… I keep forgetting to leave them a good Yelp rating.

And of course, what’s a trip to the city without the best crepes known to mankind? Sophie’s! We’re such tourists, hahaha. BTW- Thanks for the stickers Ronnie! :)

To celebrate Michelle’s birthday, I took my girl out to a little quiet dinner at Sushi-o-Sushi. Twas my first time at the spot, but it’s one of her favorites so we went for it.

I don’t remember the names of any of these rolls, but they were all only mediocre at best. I take that back- the Lion Roll (baked salmon on top of California roll) is quite scrumptious. Besides that, I’m not surprised at their average rating on Yelp.

Driving helps settle my nerves, and I find myself on the road more often than not theses days. Too bad gas prices are ridiculous! TOYOTA, HURRY UP WITH THE ‘09 PRIUS ALREADY.
