One of the blessed things about my Chicago trip was visiting the Art Institute of Chicago. This is just a small fraction of what I saw. Check out the pictures of the miniature showcase. The attention to detail on these things nothing short of amazing. What gave it such a realistic look were the ambient natural lighting and its perception of depth. If you literally look from right to left, you can see down the hall, out the window, past the trees, into the mountains and out to the sunny sky.

And on to the crème de la crème. Paintings. Modern, post-modern, renaissance, realism, cubism. Just an astounding collection of late great painters that have impacted the art word. My theory on art has always stood that past talent exceeds the talent that we have today. I mean no one has that dedication that artist had from the past. Learning from an apprentice, the devotion of painting hours on end, and just learning the shear physics in mastering one’s specific style amongst the rest. Just and awe inspiring place to visit.
great shots. put up a bio..
