Nothing But The Truth SF Premiere
First off, a big gas face goes out to this little bastard that works at this Pho place in the TL district. Dude acted like he was ODing on speed pills trying to talk all crazy cause I didn’t speak the Viet language. I should have crapped in his Starter cap when he wasn’t lookin! After a nice bowl of MSG, the one thing that never gets me down, even with blistery cold winds, is just walking in the city during the rape night hours. All types of weird stuff happen. You see syringes on the ground, 10 odd decrepit men leaving a porn theater zipping up there pants to the beat (not music) of their satisfying 5 minutes of “happy time”, fights in front of a check cash department over the usual “Did you just bump me cuz!”, and a place called Hung Phat. Yes…Hung Phat.
But that’s not what we were here for. We were here for skating! Hippie jumps, switch frontside heels, big flips, nollie tres, caballerial krooks to 180 out. I think all those trick would only get you like a 5000 in Tony Hawk Pro Skater. I’ve only been to like a handful of skate premieres and it never fails to get me juiced when you have grown folk screaming when tricks are be displayed. No one else gets it but skaters. The Victorian Theater yesterday was packed to the rim with tons of people. Stand outs to me were Daryl Angel, Shimizu, Leis Marnell, Grant Taylor and Mr. Salazar. Overall not the best film but it had some solid stuff. I think Fully Flared may take the hit for video of the year but what am I to say. We just have to wait and see. And Nike, note to self. Lose the whole edgy sketch sequences when it comes to skateboard films. The whole “a film about the making of a film” was pretty retarded.

21:06:21:44 till nov. 16 !!!

Ronnie and I were there! … and from the looks of it, sitting on the other side of the second floor.
“The whole “a film about the making of a film” was pretty retarded.”
AGREED.
