This past weekend we rode out around Lake Mead. It’s about a 20 – 25 min drive (depending on where you go exactly) to Boulder beach from House of Commons. And it ain’t really a beach haha… some really nice bike trails though. If you ever come out to vegas and want to ride somewhere with nice views, we will take you! (pics: Saskia)

I just saw these pics on Super Champion’s (Tyler Lepore) blog…. being a shop owner I understand what it takes to go through the process of an actual shop build out, which is a huge pain in the ass, and I think Tyler did a dope job executing his shop’s look (SC is NOT a new shop, I just thought I would write a post about a dope shop). Simple, clean, and it just seems to fit nicely together! The older wood panels remind me of the older velodromes and that’s definitely a fresh detail.   Mad respect to Super Champion - www.superchampionshop.com – and I hope to visit there sometime in the near future!

Just wanted to update you guys on some new stuff we got going on this new year…

Just before Christmas we built out some new cases/shelves in the shop to house more track/fixed gear parts (sorry for the crappy pic, better pictures soon!)

We also wanted to introduce DQM in the shop!

….Aaaand we’re working on getting our online shop up! Stay tuned for that!

I apologize for leaving a short while but I’ve been hibernating in San Jose and San Francisco with family, friends, and riding my bike. It’s been really nice to share good times with family and good homies I haven’t seen in a while. This Christmas had an especially good vibe to it and I hope everyone had the same. (FYI, House of Commons re-opens on TUESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2009!) I will post more pics from my trip out to the bay area but here are some randoms for now…
