Levitation Discovered: Hoverboards Coming Soon

We might not have to wait until 2015 for a hoverboard after all, as scientists at the University of St Andrews in Scotland have succeeded in making levitation a reality. By using an already existing lens to reverse what is known as the Casimir Effect, physicists Professor Ulf Leonhardt and Dr Thomas Philbin have managed to make a force which repels instead of attracting.

The Casimir force works at the quantum level, where energy fluctuations can have a huge effect on particle attraction. In theory the new force can be scaled up to levite people, although at first it is likely to be used as a kind of non-stick coating inside circuits.

Here at the Lab, though, we’re more psyched by the possiblilities of frictionless bike hubs, floating beer bottles and of course, Marty McFly’s floating marvel.

SUBARU RALLY CAR 2008

I’m not sure if you saw the new 2008 Subaru WRX is coming out and is very different from years past.

I personally LOVE WAGONS and I’ve even owned a Subie wagon WRX in the past and other wagon models including Jetta Wagon and soon to be BMW wagon, more to come on that later.

Anyways, Subaru at X Games debuted the new Rally American 2008 Rally cars, they utilize the wagon chassi, SICK!!!!

I watched a documentary called “Rebels of OAKLAND: The A’s, The Raider’s, The 70’s” IT WAS SICK!

Great story of how sports was and still is important in American culture and brings unity to parts of the country.

Dj Diesel, he’s our resident DJ homie, he loves BPM’s, beats and talking music, I laced him with the FATLACE Official hat that doesn’t fit my noggin, he’ll be flossing it as he’s the resident DJ all over Tempe and “Dirty Scottsdale“.

He wears shirts with his own logo on them, that’s his DJ logo on his tee.

Sunday- Woke up with my son watched recorded F1 from Hungary, I raced that track before in a Ferrari was pretty fun!!! Way to go Lewis Hamilton, this dude will make racing AWESOME again, he’s RADICAL!!!

Also, on Sunday, watched NASCAR I have a new infatuation with NASCAR just based on the sheer craziness and marketability of this motorsport, I wanna meet and kick it with Tony Stewart and DEJ, but I for some reason like Juan Pablo Montoya, maybe because of his F1 history and how he said “no more F1″ now it’s NASCAR….

DEJ, I heard has a sick little “ghost town” like cowboy town with a salloon and what not, I wanna do that and go there, call me DEJ!!!

Congrats to Busch but man I wanted Dale to win.

While the NASCAR race was going on X Games was cracking so had to rock a little Picture in Picture

Skate Vert, damnit Shaun White won, good show PLG put on, but my man Bucky…. well enugh on that…

He’s still #1 in my book,

Now, X Games rally, so sick, My boy Tanner “Foxy” Foust, LEGEND!!!

Such a good show was put on by these guys, Colin “McCrash” again, #199 get’s DQ’ed rightfully so but he’s so “Golly Gee” it’s awesome.

Then KB, Ken Block puts it down yet Tanner Foust pulls it out to get GOLD!!!

Stoked as Tanner competes in our Formula Drift Series, hopefully brings some eyeballs to our series as he’s goldmembe NOW!!!

Great weekend of relaxing with wifey and son and some racing action.

Sunday night watched some craziness, if you haven’t seen it watch TABOO ON NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC channel it’s sick!!!

Then lastly I must comment on a cartoon that me and my son watch together, it’s called “Handy Manny” it’s pretty good for a kid cartoon. It’s enjoyable and bilingual which is fun, the tools talk, the characters and story is comical but best/worst/best part again is that little old womanizer Wilmer Valderama is the voice of Manny.

If you have kids watch it for sure, it’s a good time…

As you probably have already gathered I have a “lil One” and I mean my lil Grom, Parker Jet aka PJ.

He’s 1 year old and there is some sweet gear out there for kids, the little kicks, the shirts and what not, essentially all the “mini me”/ extension of you aka a junior you.

Right Mark? I mean Bape Kids it’s ridiculous but AWESOME at the same time.

Anyways, a friend of mine hooked me up with some gear for PJ.

I just thought I’d share a littl bit of my childhood inspiration and what cartoons molded my wet cement of a brain when I was kid growing up in Nor Cal and SAN DIEGO.

P.S. I was born in 1978 so if it gives you any idea of my generation.

LITTLE JOHNNY JET

An older W.W.II era plane begins to feel that he’s becoming obsolete in the emerging era of jet flight. He has trouble finding a job and returns home to his wife and gets a surprise. He’s going to become a father.

John the plane received a final blow to his ego when he discovered his son was born a jet. He decided to enter a race against the newer models of planes to show that he still had worth, but he soon realized that he was in trouble after his propellers flew off his wings, and he began to plummet. Seconds later, out of nowhere, he got a surprising thrust of speed. He realized that his son had grabbed his tail and was keeping him in the air. He saw that they still had a chance to win the race. John told his son to lay on the speed, and the proud father-son pair blew the competition away. John and Mary are commissioned to give birth to an entire fleet of new jets.
