MetroPCS to Offer Limited Edition Mister Cartoon Designed Handset
MetroPCS collaborates with cultural icon Mister Cartoon to offer a customized handset and give back to the community

MetroPCS, along with Samsung Telecommunications America and SA Studios Global, a leading multicultural marketing agency, will offer an exclusive Samsung Messager(TM) handset (SCH-r450) designed by Mister Cartoon, the acclaimed artist, later this month.

The limited edition Samsung Messager will be available to consumers in all MetroPCS markets. Mister Cartoon wallpapers, ringtones and animation are preloaded on the handsets with additional downloads available from the MetroPCS Web site. A portion of revenues generated from this MetroPCS and SA Studios Global initiative will go directly to funding community art centers, outreach programs for at-risk youth and art supplies for local Los Angeles schools, Mister Cartoon’s hometown. Additionally, the first ten phones in the series will be auctioned for charity on the MetroPCS Web site in the month of August.

Mister Cartoon, renowned tattoo artist, car customizer, illustrator and designer, has worked with numerous celebrities, including Eminem, Beyonce, director Brian Grazer and most recently Lance Armstrong with Nike for the Livestrong Foundation. Mister Cartoon’s products have become collectors’ items worldwide.

Mr. Cartoon made an appearance to sign autograph, promote the phone and also spray painted a New York Mural at the MetroPCS store located on 540 6th Avenue, New York.
