Gumball 3000 Santa Monica to Miami
The Gumball 3000 has officially begun and the 130 cars and over 200 participants are currently making their way across the country. Our agency helped with some of the PR for the brand and the efforts at both the kick-off party at the Viceroy and the starting line activities near the Santa Monica Pier.
The Gumball is at the top of all the automotive rallies worldwide and the cars and characters that participate are unbelieveable from Bugatti Veyrons, Bentleys, Rolls Royce, Lambos, Ferrari, and Porsche you get the idea there are just amazing vehicles that I dream about owning and even just driving down PCH. The drivers of this years rally include the Rogue Status crew, both Eddie Cruz and James Bond from Undftd, Tony Hawk, the Jackass guys, DJ Muggs and Estevan Oriol, and even David Hasselhoff (although I didn’t see him.)
Not sure if I could really hang on the 7-day 3000 mile adventure cross country filled with parties each night, but I would love to try. But unfortunately for me Formula DRIFT Atlanta is this weekend and with the amount of work that is due there was no way of getting out of the office. I’ll have to wait to take on the once in a lifetime experience or join the millionaire/billionaire club with some of these Gumballers.
Here are photos from the weekend…including this gold decal Veyron

This Mclaren was parked outside of the Viceroy hotel

Dennis Rodman made his way to the Viceroy for the driver’s meeting

Jarod and Dan (Vivid Racing) in the hotel waiting to load into the cars

The Cuban Brothers are also the host of the Gumball show

not sure this DONK will make the entire trip, but good luck

Buttsy from ProDrift Ireland and his 4-door Skyline

Doubt this little sprint car did the entire rally or even made it to the freeway

The Rogue Status TC (this isn’t Ken Gushi’s just a replica)

Rodman is the official flag girl…guy
I hooked up with Skinnie magazine and helped them shoot a cover for the mag with some Gumballers…at the last minute a few guys flaked and so with the help of the team we managed to get Travis Barker, Skinhead Rob, and BMX legend Rick Thorne

If that doesn’t work…we also grabbed Loomis (Jackass), Partyboy (Jackass), and Rick Thorne
