1948
May 27, 2009 – 4:14 am | Comments Off | submitted by Jay Addict

I paid a recent visit to the Nike pop-up store (1948) recently. I just wish I could show you what the place looked like before. Nike took over the space, which was being used to park cars and turned it into this great open space, which is both inviting and refreshing. Sounds almost like an alpine air freshner.

The concept store has a tier 0 account, so you’ll be able to find a number of limited shoes and there’s number really there with a crazy price tag. If you not been there, I suggest you check it out. With the olympics coming to the the U.K, this looks set to be another wise move by Nike.

Bravo

Clowning Around
May 21, 2009 – 1:24 am | One Comment | submitted by Jay Addict

The Clown Series sees yet another sell out collaboration with artist Mitch.

His recent Star Wars project with Addict saw hordes of people fight their way to the front to get hold of one or all 3 designs and this clown series has been just as popular. This latest release has taught me a few things. One of them being, clown’s aren’t just scary, they can be sexy. Saying that, my girlfriend wasn’t very happy when I tried to put a red rubber nose on her…not happy at all.

Take a look at the Addict site to view the rest of the collection

Britain’s Got Some Serious Talent
May 20, 2009 – 1:58 pm | Comments Off | submitted by Jay Addict

My stomach tightened up with the thought of possible embarrasement when this 10 year old came up. I thought she was being set up for a fall. Any other time I wouldn’t care, but somehow this little south-east londoner managed to break through my tough manly exterior and touched a chord. I didn’t want her to flop. Take a look!

Pure Whyte
May 20, 2009 – 1:05 pm | Comments Off | submitted by Jay Addict

I’m lucky to be living in a creative house hold. Everytime I come home I’m greeted by discussions on interior design and the future of furniture design. I obviously contribute to discussions with Sneaker releases and what I’ll be wearing over the next couple of weeks, which is equally as important.

I’m proud to announce that my flate mate Kirsty Whyte, who has set up her own design studio received a lot of positive attention at a recent show in Milan, icluding the following press shot of her with designers Michael Maroitt and Tom Dixon!!

The other two images are examples of work, which have been designed, made and looking to be licensed by a manufacturer. Pure Whyte is a small team, but one that is bound to grow and take the design world by storm!!

Please check out her work and website

Something for the weekend
May 20, 2009 – 12:49 pm | Comments Off | submitted by Jay Addict

During the Bank Holiday weekend, after a crazy amount of booze and partying, the RT guys somehow managed to paint this!!

Two of the artists, Tecka and Alfa, who I assure you were absolutely battered, still managed to keep a steady hand as they painted the animated hands. Very impressive. Check out more examples of their work on their blogs
