Rally Racing with Tanner Foust

So I’m actually a bit excited to be posting my first official post since I moved my old blog over to the homepage blog of this site. So for now you’ll be able to follow my world right here on this link.

Anyways, I was super excited to goto Portland International Raceway yesterday to see today’s US Kings of Rally. Travis Pastrana, Ken Block and I specifically went to go do a ride along with Tanner Foust (FD Champion 2 years in a row). I’m not sure if you’ve ever ridden in a rally car but if you do get the chance, make sure you take it. It’s definitely the craziest racing I’ve ever experienced. LOTS of 180s, jumps, and rocks flying all over the place. It was ridiculous..

A funny sidenote. So I was talking to Tanner about Jeff Zwart, who just happens to be my dad’s next door neighbor (see this link), and he told me he’s worked with him in the past and has been to his house. Crazy coincidence!

Tanner saying “Pull my finger”

Here’s the machine we were literally flying in. This is THEE first Evo10 Rally Car.

Awesome setup. Drive by Wire!

This motor is super torq-ee

Ok, we’re ready to go..

Nice carbon kevlar footrest with a horn and some other button I couldnt figure out.

The Herd. The new factory Suby’s

Any my favorite car in the track. The land rover defender 110.

Not sure if any of you watch GP2 Racing but here’s probably the scariest accident this year. Parenta spins and lands his rear wheel on Grassi’s cockpit. Luckily he survived. CRAZY.

Thanks to my father, i had the chance to drive 4-wheel drive rally cars on gravels and i can approve that this surface can give to you the best driving sensations.
