Was cruising over to Tiburon this afternoon and passed by Pac Heights and saw Goliath, the robot. 2 years ago he was attacked and beaten to a pulp by some random party guests at a nearby party. Today, he lives.
Now if that story doesn’t amaze you, this one will. From the Oscar award-winning true story of piano prodigy David Helfgott, in this scene “Shine” shines the brightest.
Headed to Alex “Retrokids” house on Monday for some Rock Band and Heroes. Nike heads Tung, Denise, Alex and Phil all had our chance but in the end, Denise and Alex killed it.
Thanks to everyone who said it this year and thanks to the team for hooking up a screened Loopwheeler NSW Hoodie. Nice.. Ice Cream Cake, Udon, and Bowling.
For the last 10 years, I’ve been going to Laguna Seca for some kind of Superbike Race. This year there was no way we were going to miss MotoGP, the most exciting motorcycle racing series. Valentino Rossi (Yamaha), coming off some amazing wins and Casey Stoner (DUC) were the top favorites. Brooklyn, almost 3, woke up at 6am and was ready to head to the track.
Brooklyn checking out the track conditions. Figuring out where to goto.
Looks like she found what she was looking for. F1 Car!
Dam, look at that rear.
Random photos with Uncle Ron and Dad.
Very randomly we met up with uncle Toads who plays with a reggae band from Santa Cruz.
MotorBike! and the RedBull Soap Box Race is coming to SF.
Track Crossing
And the kicks that got me through the day. The Air Max 90 Current. The blend between the AM90 and a Nike Free. Available at your finer Nike Retailers. The MOST comfortable shoe I’ve tried on this year.
Quick meetings with everyone beat me up today… Woody from Sneaker Freaker, Hiroshi, Jeff WD & High Snob, Mass Appeal, and a whole slew of media people were on campus today. Read their blogs for more info. Exciting times… See you tomorrow.
Probably the weirdest title for a post but it really is..
So I’m working on something at work and had to call a few friends. A few days ago, Ivan hooked me up with with one of his most prized possession. The WU TANG Dunk. This shoe was valued at $8000 a few years ago and had a buyer. Ivan decided not to sell and thankfully, I’ll be able to use it.. Thanks Ivan, you’re gonna get it back soon!
Besides the Fatlace Store, you’ll find many other stores on the Infamous POST STREET in San Francisco. Here’s a photo of Post Street at night in Union Square after leaving Niketown, which is also on Post Street. Levis, Sacs, Tiffany’s as well as The Disney Store is seen in this photo. There’s a ton of other stores on Post and one more is coming.. It’s Huge.
Only in America will you find rednecks rolling around on the freeway with their “Kills” on the back of their truck. Here we saw 2 dead ducks on the way to Sacramento. The driver was fully camo’d out and on his cel. Crazy..
My Old Canon DSLR is still great. I put it in service for a tune-up 2 years ago and put it in storage after I picked up my Ricoh. I recently started using it again cause the Panasonic is in service. It’s great to use again as I’ve taken off the battery pack to make it like a regular cam. Here’s some shots around the house today.
The Muji CD Player I picked up in Tokyo last year keeps Brooklyn busy while playing with the toys. It’s great design keeps things real simple. Muji actually just opened up in NY this past month. For people that don’t know, now you know. Its a better Ikea with the Ikea price point. Check out Brooklyns new whip. Foot powered Choro-Q style Motorcycle. All we need now is a hill for her to ride down.
Brooklyn concentrating with the magnifying glass and her train set keeps her busy for about 30 minutes.
My work MacBook and the Ruckus..
The following are photos of the S14. I haven’t started it in about a month. It cranked and I revved.. The neighbors woke up. Tomorrow, we’re taking it around the town…
A view from the Dining Room and yes, it’s HELLA FLUSH.
The characters represent Brooklyn and Me. She’s all about playing with the Jungle Gym roll bars.
Met up real quick with Hiroshi. Talked Blogs, Nike, and Stickers. A super rare Colnago showed up while we were there. Funny Bike style with crazy style tubing. NICE. He’s now headed for a journey to WHQ and may possibly hit SF, not sure. I hope the mash premiere went well. Headed to Uniqlo to see what the buzz was all about. I like the display alot. It definitely shakes up the brain to think differently.
Speaking of shaking up things, I recently heard of a former owner of a very popular brand is going to make a comeback this year. Confirmed and it will make a HUGE splash in the Sea of brands. Exciting news.
There are a few good things about going to photoshoots. 1. Seeing the super tall models. 2. Free Food 3. seeing how large studio sets can be. and 4. Seeing the models.
The downside is the waiting.. Here’s some photos from this weeks Womens shoot.
Walking to the studio, I see footlocker trying to step into the Street X Auto Culture by wrapping a Caddy XLR with graphics of a shoe on it’s hood. Good try guys but I DONT THINK SO. First off, who has enough money (XLR’s starting at 79,000) to actually flip an XLR. Honestly, that’s pretty unrealistic. The CTS would have been more of your crowd. Think about it. Eric Koston drives an STS (or did). I would think this is more your market.
At Left Space Studios. All I can say it’s HUGE. Theres a studio where you can put at least 16 cars in it. We were in the medium sized one, equipped with its own pool table. Awesome.
First day during the still shots.
Second day, Green screen video shoot. Should be interesting what I come up with.
Catered food all day. Steak for lunch! and snacks on the table.
