Leading up to Hellaflush 3, an event we put on to show our love for cars and their owners obsession with having the correct offset, I was a bit more excited for this event than our 10 Year Party. It’s cause I’m a huge fan of the automobile and Fatlace is going to be around for many more years…

Chris from Alpinestars hit me up and cruised by to shoot video and capture sound files for a video they’re making for Apex Initiative the day before and timed it so they cruised by the show as well. What amazed me the most was the amount of people that cruised by the show. I would guestimate approximately 1500 people throughout the day. At one point in the show, I saw a sea of people and thought, whoa.. this is amazing.

This bodykit and wing makes the car so different. The wheels especially being super close to the fender. I went to the shop today, mocked it all up for the Alpinestars guys. A little teaser for you. I honestly haven’t been this excited for my car to be done.

Connected with the boys at Drift Emporium at Sema. We’re almost there! Some stuff came in.

Wheels. Have to send back as the entire wheel needs to be powder coated, not just the face.

Im usually stressed when I goto Sema but this year was different. I didnt build a car this time around so it was the first time to go there just to meet with friends to catchup on their lives and see what they have planned for 2010. Of course there were the very important meetings which will help pave the way for fatlace next year but this year I got to really check out some of the cars and get inspiration from some of the best builders on the planet.

My Favorite Car at Sema is this AE86 Inspired Scion XB. From the wheels to the flares to the flushness, this is it. Killed it. Forget how it has an awesome disco dance floor and a dj booth that opens up. When closed, this thing is just plain old awesome and if it was ever offered, I’d take one.

Guess who’s Ruckus is in this months issue of Motochamps? Yes, the green machine made it in the magazine. Thanks to YU for shooting and covering the Ruckus which was a collaborative effort from Myself and Bowls LA. I remember when YU took photos of my S2000 for another magazine in 2002, i think it was.

The girls picked this up for my birthday. It’s a Gan Well Pro Evasion carbon frame which I put together yesterday. It’s got parts from my old bike which will be hanging in the office now and new parts from Freewheel.

First riding impressions. Solid and responsive. Not sure how I feel about riding it in SF but in the Peninsula, its great.

btw.. happy birthday to Jarod also.

F1 preparations at the new Yas Marina Circuit. It reminds me of nothing Ive seen before. Having tons of acres to build a track on can satisfy the dreams of building the best track in the world. I wonder how hot it’s going to be at race day.

S14 Update + My Own RED Camera!

So the VK is in the car. Working with the Drift Emporium folks to help finish the build. DGR Fabrication has done a great job putting the motor in the 14 which fits rather snug but with clearance. I’ll go into full detail once we’re set up. You can also see the new bumper on the car. I guess you can say it’ll be a bit of a monster hybrid with body parts from 6666 Customs, Supermade, Final Konnexxion and DMAX. Cant wait for this thing to be done.

And my very own RED Camera Prototype Toy. Before they were produced, these were made and thanks to Brian, I have one.
