For the past 2 years we’ve been pulling a fast one on Brooklyn. We convinced her that Disneyland was the Disney Store at Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo. She would tell her friends she went to Disneyland and her friends would just look at her with a strange face. We took her to Disneyworld in Orlando when she was 1 but I don’t think she remembers what it was all about plus we were in the middle of a heatwave so most of the time spent at Disneyworld was indoors where the AC was blasting. If you know me, I’m not a huge fan of the heat. Fast forward to today, Brooklyn’s 3 now and understands almost everything and will correct you if you try to pull a fast one on her. She’s seen the commercials and the one thing she asked for Christmas was to goto Disneyland to “Check it out”. So we decided lets make the most of my mini vacation away from Oregon and go…
No, that’s not a bomb going off at park, it’s their fireworks show right outside of the hotel room. Tomorrow’s gonna be special, there’s a 945 and Midnight Fireworks show. Exciting times and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I took a trip to Beijing, China a few months ago for the Olympics. First time there so a group of us went to the Great Wall. I had my flip camera and decided to film the whole walk down. It took approximately 15 minutes to walk down the very uneven steps.
Note: In this video, you’ll see some familiar faces. Try to see if you can name a few.
A few years ago I started my drifting life in a 2000 Honda S2000. It definitely wasn’t the best platform for drifting but it was what I had at the time. It was Cindy’s favorite car that we’ve owned at the time and one she always says she misses.
I remember grabbing this photo off someones site. Im sorry I forget who but check out this S2000. Really nice to see cars being used and not just for show.
They have nothing in common but I did see all 3 in a span of 1 hour when I was going to the SF Auto Show to pick up the S14. It was so odd to wake up and see the truck. I thought to myself, if its new, why would it be wrapped. Walked up to it and saw the saran boxes on the floor. What it must be like being 16 again..
Zoom Air Harbor is probably my favorite shoe of 2008. I’ve never worn a pair so many times in a year but I have to say, they’re comfy and can last a whole days wear. I got these the other day and I’m sure to get more than 10 uses out of it.
Skyline R32 GTS, I believe. I’ve heard of a few Skylines up in Oregon. This one in particular had Washington plates on it and from what I hear this one is a GTS-T, not a GTR as the badges on the car state. GTS-T is the rear wheel drive version Skyline aka the drift version. I’ve always wanted one of these R32’s so if this guy is selling, hit me up!
Ahh, San Francisco. Leaving rainy Portland and to see clear night skies in the City is always refreshing. I hear it’s going to be about 70+ today in SF. That’s ridiculous for a November.
So it’s been real hectic lately for yours truely. SF - LA - NY - SF - OR. Haven’t been home in a long time but definitely haven’t missed it either. Family is in town, good to see them always. Here’s some shots from the new G10. VERY much like the DMC-LX2 with a ton of more options. Still learning it but that’s the fun part about camera’s..
Phillip went with me to NYC once again. We did a few photoshoots for my day job.
Retiring the Panasonic DMC-LX2 which is an AWESOME camera. I’ll be taking photos now with my new Canon G10 and sometimes with the Canon 5D. Exciting times and lots to learn.
Was a pleasure being a part of the Transportation Panel at this years Imprint Culture Lab. It was cool seeing old friends and meeting a ton of people in the industry. I happened to be on the transportation panel with a few friends from the past so it made it a real comfortable environment. Jerry from Pacific Rim, Fred from Beyond Marketing Group, Ken Gushi, and two other guys I’ve only read or heard about through the wonders of the internet. The entire conference, whether it was the collab panel, transportation panel, gaming panel, or crafts panel, the theme of “collaboration” was heard throughout. You can click here to see the entire 2008 roster.
Keynote was given by Kenya Hara of Muji.
The Cult(ure) Members and their leader Mr. Hiroshi. (hi HF! had to do it)
Antonio came by the other day to drop off some photos he shot for a music video I hired him to shoot in Malibu. He rolled by in a Lexus IS 250 kitted out with big brakes and wheels. The cool thing is, the car come stock, as is! The bad is that it’s not out for a couple of months…
I’ll have a blog about the conference tomorrow night. Dinner was tonight, met with a bunch of folks. Should be good. Til tomorrow..
A well deserved break after launching (and still improving) Nikesportswear.com. With the Family at Monterey. If you’re ever in this neck of the woods, stay at the Intercontinental Hotel. It’s pretty fresh. I brought the 5D with me to capture while the DMC-LX2 is on a break.
Arriving. The wagon’s navigation was perfect. Stopped once at the Gilroy outlets.
I have no idea what this fish is but it was HUGE. Something out of WW1.. Probably the cockroach of fish.
Jellyfish.
Cin & Brook stamping at Otter Art Park.
