Eddie Cruz via EM filmed by Levi Maestro
October 14, 2009 – 4:30 pm | 2 Comments | submitted by mark fatlace

Hmm. what to say here. Well, I know Eddie and I know Rickey of Evil Monito.

Eddie Cruz is a Los Angeles resident who co-owns the Undefeated brand/retail store. His role in the street fashion cannot be denied, yet it’s his quiet and kind demeanor that leaves the deepest impression.

Rickey’s been doing this far too long to not know who he is. He writes and writes good. All you newer brands take note; This type of art, design, cinematography/style comes from the heart. Did you listen up and see Eddies stuff? Well, theirs meaning behind everything they do which is also why those guys have been running the scene for so long.

Food Poisoning!
October 13, 2009 – 11:23 pm | One Comment | submitted by mark fatlace

Have you ever gotten it? Well, both Cindy and I got it last Saturday at a Wedding we attended. Not sure what it was but boy did it get us. Cindy was vomiting everywhere and I basically was out of commission for 2 days. I’ve never rested so much in my life! Yesterday, I slept for 12 hours straight. Unheard of.

Anyway, I miss using this Ricoh GR2so I drove around after feeling a little better but at this very moment when I felt like stopping to rest for about 30 minutes cause the feeling of throwupsleep came around again. Boy do I miss doing graffiti on this beach wall. It’s been years, the first time we hit this beach up was in 1993.

Not much more this day as I took another long rest. I woke up at 2:45 feeling 30x better and now am at it again. Crazy how food poisoning works.

Here’s a finger painting from Brooklyn. She wanted to draw ice cream with a Cherry on top.

Abu Dhabi New F1 Track Preview
October 10, 2009 – 8:55 pm | One Comment | submitted by mark fatlace

F1 preparations at the new Yas Marina Circuit. It reminds me of nothing Ive seen before. Having tons of acres to build a track on can satisfy the dreams of building the best track in the world. I wonder how hot it’s going to be at race day.

Hardware
October 6, 2009 – 10:59 pm | 4 Comments | submitted by mark fatlace

My first mac was a Woz signed Apple 2 GS limited edition my dad bought for $1500 back in 1986. It was kind of a “welcome to high school/you better freekin get good grades” present to both my sister and I.

appleiigs

I didn’t get the best grades in High School and changed schools 3 times before graduating but it wasn’t cause I didn’t like school. It was more of the distractions.. Break Dancing was at it’s peak, Graffiti was on the rise, and being a DJ, I had to be at all the parties. I guess you can see where this attitude of “collect everything” comes from.

Anyways, back to hardware… Ever since getting my Apple IIGS (the GS stood for Graphics and Sound), I got excited everytime I heard there were new models coming out. And even though Apple is turning into this mobile giant, they still have the best computers out there and everytime I get new stuff, I get real excited about work. Not that the product makes the designer but you do feel good when you’re designing with new hardware.

15″ Unibody and the new 24″ Display. If you’re looking for a good deal, theres some refurbished ones at the Apple store online for $599. A steal if you ask me.

S14 Update + My Own RED Camera!
October 5, 2009 – 3:55 pm | 10 Comments | submitted by mark fatlace

So the VK is in the car. Working with the Drift Emporium folks to help finish the build. DGR Fabrication has done a great job putting the motor in the 14 which fits rather snug but with clearance. I’ll go into full detail once we’re set up. You can also see the new bumper on the car. I guess you can say it’ll be a bit of a monster hybrid with body parts from 6666 Customs, Supermade, Final Konnexxion and DMAX. Cant wait for this thing to be done.

And my very own RED Camera Prototype Toy. Before they were produced, these were made and thanks to Brian, I have one.
