I gotta give Bobbito over at BounceMag credit for spotting this video. Check it out, along with his description below….

Check out this trailer for the upcoming Founding Fathers documentary which questions much of the history that we have been taught about Hip Hop’s foundation. It’s very intriguing, and the clip ends on one of my favorite breakbeats of all-time, Babe Ruth’s “The Mexican.”

Can’t wait to check out the whole thing. More info on the film as I get it. Also, he mentions “The Mexican,” download the song here.

If you really wanna take it back too, you can do the research of the sound systems of Jamaica, which spawned a lot of what was going on throughout NYC in the 1970’s. The BBC did a short report on that not too long ago, and I blogged about it over at my other blog. Check that out here.

Also, check out Bounce’s newest issue, in full, online now.
