Yes, I’m alive…

I think one of the most underated hip-hop producer’s today, and has been for a while, is Chicago’s NO I.D.  He’s been putting it down for YEARS, having come into the game with Common Sense, to mentoring Kanye West, to most reecently putting in work with Jay-Z on American Gangster and Blueprint 3 and it’s first single, “D.O.A.”  

That all said, I’m glad to see him starting get some mainstream shine. Check out a video below where he speaks on the making of “D.O.A.”…

This is the story of a homeless rapper I met on the streets of Brooklyn. There’s a part of me that feels for him because it’s quite obvious he suffered a great deal as a child. But it’s hard to show sympathy for a man who has lived life the way he has. I guess everyone deserves to be forgiven.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending a brunch that my folks from MVMT put together in Brooklyn. It’s always great to have a group of like minded folks in the same room, and the Wafels from Wafels & Dinges set it off that much more (Dulce de leche, strawberries, bananas and whipped cream…yes sir!).
