Last night got a email from the homie Brian Samson from Def Jam, inviting me to breakfast with Jadakiss. As you know, Jadakiss recently dropped his album “THE LAST KISS” and its dope. I have to say he’s always been consistent with his lyrics, his production, etc.
After breakfast, we all sat around and chopped it up. Talked bout the music business, NOTORIOUS the movie, and how The Lox got out of their contract over at Bad Boy Records. He mentioned that Jay-Z and Lil Wayne will be going out on tour, only certain dates and cities. He said, “I’m might jump on that tour with them”.

“4/20 may not be a holiday in many parts of the country, but it is in San Francisco. If you know what time it is, you know what time it is. True commemorates this annual (and daily) celebration with a laser engraved “spice & herb” grinder. It features the True logo encircled by some classic lyrics from SF’s legendary RBL Posse anthem “Bammer Weed”.”
Friday afternoon got hit up on BBM by Fran Boogie letting me know that Kid Capri was doing a 2hour set at 330 Ritch Street. I had to make a decision what I was going to do Friday night because Snoop was doing a show at Mezzanine for NBA’s Stephen Jackson’s birthday. I also heard that Snoop was bringin’ out The Dogg Pound on stage with him.
I picked 330.
330 Ritch Street was real busy on Friday night, the club had a good look and a good vibe all night.

So today I was checking out Kanye’s Blog and was reading about the J-CORDER CUSTOM RAVEN 1700 TAPE DECK
Seeing the Reel 2 Reel, reading the comments brought back a lot of memories from my childhood and the days of mixing / editing at KMEL. Growing up our families would record music on the R2R to have the music play for hours, yes hours. You just slow up the speed, record and it would play back exactly as it was recorded. Then in the early days at KMEL, we would edit our mixes on R2R for the late night mixes to air.
The images of the J-Corder lets you know that Analog hasn’t gone anywhere. People still buy vinyl like crazy because they love the warmth of the sound.
Then this evening writing this post and the mention of vinyl, it brought back a memory. So I googled, Louis Vuitton Record Case and there it was: The collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Helmut Lang Record Case. Here I’m thinking I’m bout to post something real cool when I find out Marcus Troy (a fellow Fatlace / StayFresh Crew member) beat me by 2 weeks posting it on his personal blog. Very cool post. I’m glad I’m not the only one that remembers Grand Master Flash being in the original ad. If I’m not mistaken, this add was in Vibe Magazine (correct me if I’m wrong please).
Last month I celebrated a another birthday and it so happens that it landed the same week I was in Vegas for Magic. So when I got back to SF, I had a gig the following Friday at Mighty with the homie DJ Mind Motion. Well during the day he hit me on BBM asking “What time you gettin’ to the club?” I reply, “early, I have to get my guestlist together. What up? ” He replies, “I’m bringin your birthday gift to the spot.” I reply, “All good.” Well enough talk because Mind Motion always looks out for me. Just scroll down and check out the photos.
Yo E! Many thanks for my dope gift.
The “Cali” design is back at True, this time on 5 panel caps. Available in 4 colors at True SF, True East and on-line at trueclothing.net

Its been a minute, or a while since my last post and a lot has happened in a month. For the next few post on this blog, might have to go backwards because last month went by too fast.
Went to Magic, they only used half of the convention center. That’s how light it was this year. I’ll just post some photos.

Last week Crazy Legs and Tony Touch of The Rock Steady Crew were in town for a good cause. Yes We Can Can went down last Friday night, A canned food drive and a birthday celebration for Crazy Legs.
So Saturday night, Legs and Toca were off, so Daddy Rich and I decided to take them out to dinner to catch up.Its been a minute since we’ve all hung out and not have to be at gigs. So Legs is still at it, reppin’ The Rock Steady Crew. He says, “I’m doing workshops, judging contests and still performing all over the world. Tony Touch is still djin and traveling all over as well and doing spots in New York. He also mentioned, “I’m working on another album and another 50 MCs record.”
It is always good to see my fam from the East, get to hangout and just chill.
