Shopping Carts

The locking wheels are a cool idea to prevent cart theft. Every day I see overloaded shopping carts being used for urban mobile storage. I’m not sure how much it costs grocery stores to replace these carts, but I’m sure it doesn’t help keep prices down.

I wonder why some people are too lazy to return carts? It’s not that much work. Sucks when you find a cart using your car as a stopper.

IDEO designed a cart that solves a lot of issues.

The cops in my area will bag up the stuff from a homeless dudes cart and return the cart back to the grocery store. In mosts major homeless populated cities nonprofits supply homeless carts that don’t belong to anyone… this would be the way to go for someone that’s homeless, but instead they take the easy route and steal one from a local shopping center. I’m sure it costs the business’s alot of dough!
