10th Anniversary Party

The anniversary was a cool night with family and friends. Mara and Aiden were at the store in the beginning =). Cindy, Mark, Brook, Nelson, Lorelei, Felix, Donna, Kristine, Dan, Max, Kenny and Leslee were some of the early birds. I’d like to thank everyone who came out. Some flew in from NY and Japan. I’ve known some people for years. Some I just met. Glad finally got to meet some of my tweeps! Got to chill w/ the Fatlace fam while Ant-1, $ir Tipp, Philly, and Yusai held down the ones and two’s. Philly asked if I wanted to mix but I declined, since I haven’t mixed in years. Come to think of it, I should have! We all used to have skratch sessions when the WNKK were still kids at Eastmoor. Good times! The Wing Chun crew canceled practice to make it, now that’s love. Thanks y’all!

Trix’s Birthday Brunch at Circa

A few months ago Trix had a birthday brunch at Circa in the city. After ordering food, we started off with a round of Remy shots. Then I ordered a beer… with breakfast food? I thought that was weird after making the request. The ladies all took advantage of the bottomless mimosas. The entree was pretty good! For dessert, we had cupcakes from Sweet Dreams. Trix swears by that bakery! Gotta admit, they were pretty tasty. You should eat at Circa if you want to have breakfast and some drinks!

I rocked my Puma mesh and Jay happened to have on some Gucci colorway Pumas w/ gum soles.

Oh Deer

I saw this deer a few weeks ago at San Anselmo. Reminds me of a little story. One quiet night in a residential area, I was peacefully driving 25 mph. Hiding behind a parked truck, something darted in front of me. It was way too close to veer around, so I pulled the ebrake and jammed the steering wheel to the left. It froze. The deer would have ended up on my hood and possibly injured, if I didn’t react quick enough. Not to mention, damage my S13. What happened was, it kissed my side window, said hi to my passenger Phillip and ran away. Whew!

Capitola Day Trip

Went for a drive 4th July Weekend w/ the fam. There was mad traffic going to Santa Cruz. That’s why I like Capitola, it’s less crowded. We grabbed a bite to eat then walked around the downtown area and the beach. Reub along the the other anglers and family were camped out at the beach. The restaurants next to the beach were super convenient. No need for a grocery run.

Back when I was going to SJSU, Reub and I would fish here out on the small boats. A lot of fun stories! I’ll blog about that later.

How to put a crib together in less than a minute

Here’s a time lapse video I made of Aiden’s crib assembly. I shot intervals with a Canon Rebel XSi and later used iMovie to put the images together. It’s pretty fun making these videos. I might want to make a tilt shift time lapse one of these days!

The elevator was busted and didn’t go up to the 30th floor. I decided to get off on the 28th and walk up the rest. I knew the door would lock once I go in the stairwell, but there’s plenty of people on the floor I was going to. After I reached the 30th floor, tried to call someone to open the door… no signal! AT&T x iPhone has some of the worst reception, even in the middle of the city. Lucky I was able to IM one of my partners in crime using wi-fi. I won’t risk taking the stairs again. If I couldn’t get a hold of anyone I was about to climb down 30 flights of stairs. Easy, but boring…

California Stop

99% of cars at this intersection run the stop signs. See exhibits A and B in the photos below. Problem isn’t the rolling stop… but that idiot drivers don’t even check for cars that got there before them! Even worse, they don’t look out for pedestrians. What is it about some drivers nowadays? A lot of them shouldn’t be behind the wheel. DCPD would have a field day at this intersection. Instead of ticketing modified cars, ticket bad drivers.

I don’t mind the rolling stop, but at least look around for pedestrians and cars!

Sorry I don’t have video footage, one day I just might post up w/ a time lapse camera.
