Reuniting with old friends: Stash, Hardin, Cass…
So after the interview with WeJetSet, I headed over to Williamsburg to see a familiar face – my dear friend Josh. Its been quite some time since I’ve seen him (well, I guess the last time was at his Lacoste event), but I used to hang out with him quite often for random shits and giggles – I rolled up to their office just as he rolled up on his Colnago – SWEET! He even laced it up with T19 bars (oh yea, he and all the Japanese heads go waaaay back) and check out his Fabrick bar pad – sweet!

Oh yea! Recon is closed at the moment because the pipes burst in the upstairs apt and the shop got rained on and flooded – seriously, I saw the video, not pretty. In the meantime, you guys can visit the warehouse on Roebling and North 6th in Willy-/b and take advantage of some good sales!!

Josh also hooked me up with a Fabrick wallet – Medicom… still wow’d by all their products.

Another person I haven’t seen in ages was Eric Hardin (WeSC)! He met up with Josh and I over at Oslo for some coffee – Eric is one of the sweetest, smartest, and dedicated individuals I have crossed paths with. He’s always smiling and always seems interested in what you have to say lol!
After some chit chat, we headed over to Armarcord to see his main squeeze Cass – YUP! You all remember Cass! We both moved on from our showroom lives to pursue other interests – I’ve missed her a bunch and I’m glad she and Hardin are at each other’s sides =)

After my Willy-B tour, I trekked it into the city (taking the dreaded L train, which, by the way, chooses to not run on all stops on the weekends – meaning yet another headache GAHHHH! That’s going to be another post lol). I met up with Courtney (YAY!) who is visiting for a few days for some well deserved vaca – as well as to celebrate her baby’s 1 year birthday - itsDesignRelated.com
Pics to come in following post (because this one is getting a little too long for my taste!).

That is so lame on so many levels.
It’s bad enough every post teen / college tard in the world not from NY moves to Williamsburg.
Gentrification isn’t cute, and lack of knowledge about Williamsburg, and the neighborhoods that surround it isn’t either.
You seem awesome enough, and I am sure your intentions are good… But for real… “Willy B”?
It’s not a burger stand. It’s a neighborhood… or at least it used to be.
Now it’s just a hipster dump.
but i hear you LOUD AND CLEAR. this is probably the one of FEW times i’ve referred to hipsterville as “willy-b,” if you might have noticed (though i don’t expect you to rummage through the archives!).
unfortunately i suppose you caught this post on a day i didn’t feel like adding the ” ” or the explanation behing the “AKA.” apologies for the offense, but know that yes, “my intentions are good” – as i never intend any less of myself.
i really do appreciate the comment as well because it confirms that some of my previous dialogue isn’t just me pms’ing online – raging against the young “hipster” dweller lol.
‘matter of fact – why you think i live in bushwick!
again – thank you for the comment and please feel free to reach me anytime: jessica at fatlace dot com
