Reuniting with old friends: Stash, Hardin, Cass…
January 25, 2009 – 8:07 pm | 3 Comments | submitted by Jessica "Yoshi" Gueco

So after the interview with WeJetSet, I headed over to Williamsburg to see a familiar face – my dear friend Josh. Its been quite some time since I’ve seen him (well, I guess the last time was at his Lacoste event), but I used to hang out with him quite often for random shits and giggles – I rolled up to their office just as he rolled up on his Colnago – SWEET! He even laced it up with T19 bars (oh yea, he and all the Japanese heads go waaaay back) and check out his Fabrick bar pad – sweet!

Oh yea! Recon is closed at the moment because the pipes burst in the upstairs apt and the shop got rained on and flooded – seriously, I saw the video, not pretty. In the meantime, you guys can visit the warehouse on Roebling and North 6th in Willy-/b and take advantage of some good sales!!

Josh also hooked me up with a Fabrick wallet – Medicom… still wow’d by all their products.

Another person I haven’t seen in ages was Eric Hardin (WeSC)! He met up with Josh and I over at Oslo for some coffee – Eric is one of the sweetest, smartest, and dedicated individuals I have crossed paths with. He’s always smiling and always seems interested in what you have to say lol!

After some chit chat, we headed over to Armarcord to see his main squeeze Cass – YUP! You all remember Cass! We both moved on from our showroom lives to pursue other interests – I’ve missed her a bunch and I’m glad she and Hardin are at each other’s sides =)

After my Willy-B tour, I trekked it into the city (taking the dreaded L train, which, by the way, chooses to not run on all stops on the weekends – meaning yet another headache GAHHHH! That’s going to be another post lol). I met up with Courtney (YAY!) who is visiting for a few days for some well deserved vaca – as well as to celebrate her baby’s 1 year birthday - itsDesignRelated.com

Pics to come in following post (because this one is getting a little too long for my taste!).

WeJetSet interview…
January 25, 2009 – 9:00 am | 2 Comments | submitted by Jessica "Yoshi" Gueco

WHAT a day it was for me on Saturday! (Although it may seem I enjoy a life of full of fun and excitement nearly everyday, come the weekend – SO NOT TRUE. I AM A HERMIT that is too afraid of the frigid cold)

Not too long ago Taj, from wejetset.com, and I got to talking about iDR, Fatlace and then conversed about all the travelling I had done a few years ago (I was suprised to learn he reads my blog and saw the post I did a few months ago about all the places I visited before moving to NY – unfortunatly I’d link you, but the photos from that post didn’t survive the new server relaunch). So anyway, he asked if I would be interested in being interviewed for their Travel Chronicles section on wejetset – uhmm, didn’t take long for me to respond at all!

Taj…

Thanks for sending this over Taj!

WeJetSet is moving along quickly with a bunch of new “editorials” and interviews in print and online, focusing on the personal travel experiences (both daily life as well as just for pure personal enrichment if you will) of designers, photographers, bloggers (like me!), etc… They are soon to release little print mag called “City Notes” – the first of which will feature Claudia aka Claw Money and her everyday travel enjoyments – from her favorite NY eats to her favorite NY kick it spots. Here’s a little preview =)

ANYWAY, sooo, my day started off with the interview at Rice in Dumbo, and can I just say, WHOA – these guys REALLY know what they’re doing! It was so professional and Taj made it super comfortable for me to expose not only my travel experiences, but also my thoughts and opinions about the street lifestyle. I’m really excited to see how everything turns out. OH! Also, Suzette was there capturing the moments with her camcam – hehehehe – she too made me feel even more at home HAHAHAHHAA!

TAJ – note to you (along with Anthony, Tony, Jesse, Britney, hope I didn’t miss anyone!), YOU are all truly inspirational and I will always support the cause and all of WeJetSet movements =)

EDITED in via Taj’s Flickr =) Brittany and Taj

**This was just the beginning of my day…
