I’ve been up on fLako’s production for a minute now and I’m glad that he’s starting to get more shine as of late.  The dude’s production style is fresh and there’s something about his music that distinguish himself from other typical indie music producers.  One thing for sure though, I’m diggin’ European producers more than any other country at the moment.  Big up to my new favorite label “Up My Alley“.  I’d love to work with you guys one day.  Let’s keep it movin’.

Video: The Foreign Exchange “Leave it all behind”
October 8, 2009 – 12:33 am | Comments Off | submitted by mellow orange

Leave it all behind, a sophomore album by Nicolay & Phonte – aka The Foreign ExchangeTake off the blues will probably go down as one of my favorite song for this summer/year 09.  I’ve always loved Nicolay’s music production and I was amazed by Phonte’s vocals skills.  It’s only a matter of time that we see the likes of Busta Rhymes doing a duet with Lady Gaga…  Anyways, go cop the album if you’re a sucker for good feel music.  Trust me it’s worth the money.

Pt 1 & 2

Shout out to my dude Teeko, Max Kane and the entire 4OneFunk familia for bringing freshness to the masses.  You can catch them live at “4OneFunktion” (4th sat of the month) @ Elbo Room, SF.
