Hoods come in dozen
We all here at fatlace are EXTREMELY excited to have our shop car come home yesterday.
A 1964 VW Panel Bus. What makes this bus special is that it’s a sliding door early split window which were only available in Europe. I believe there are under 6 of these here in the US and although there’s a ton of body issues with the bus, its a great daily for the shop.
Right away, Brandon, Jimmy, and I went to town on the bus, sanding, primering, and dismantling the bus to get the body straight but not too straight. A 21 window roof was grafted onto the bus and the welds were never worked on. Check out the outcome of the bus this weekend at Formula Drift and Indy Car.
The Exterior. Tons of welds and weird stuff going on but this is the outcome after sanding and sanding. Color change tomorrow with accents.
The Interior. Full of surf stickers. Not much is going to change inside so if you want to send us a sticker, we’ll slap it on inside the bus.
