May 26th 2011 marks a day that I think could be infamous…
The day I purchased and took ownership of my first road bicycle…
I’m super psyched to get into it for fitness, fun and whatever comes along with it, I’m pumped to pedal…
My bike of choice is the Felt Bicycles 2011 Z5, this bike had the components, features and riding style that was recommended to me by a few people…
I purchased the bike directly from Felt Bicycles thanks to my friend he hooked it up and sent it to a Felt dealer, My local bike shop I chose was Tempe Bicycles, they’ve been around for year, knowledgeable staff and very accommodating and cool… Plus the guy working on my bike is into drifting and driving himself…
Needed a longer stem because of my height, hooked up a Ritchey stem…
Going clip ins, Speedplay Zero Stainless Steel is what I was told would be good…
Shoe role was filled by Shimano SH-RIO6L, I see alot of white shoes I gotta go black…
She’s home and just waiting for me to get my helmet (of course), ancillary equipment and YES spandex, I’m down and psyched!
Thanks Felt Bicycles, Alan at Felt, Scotty Cranmer for hooking it up and also the guys at Tempe Bicycle Croy, Brad & the gang…
Fitting next to my Fat Tire beer sign… haha
Oh man that’s sick. I was thinking about getting into biking for fitness. Its really big here in San Antonio. Have fun
Yeah !
Good choice.
My bike is a FELT BROUGHAM 😉
Have a nice ride !!!
Welcome to life as a roadie. I put more miles on my bicycles than my car on an annual basis (8,000+) and it certainly helps spend the gas & tire money where it counts. Enjoy the roads and remind all your friends who drive to please share the road.
my daily is an old felt f65. love it and it definitely looks baller on campus still.
you are going to get lean fast if you get serious about biking! good stuff man!
